When you use NinePaths in guest mode, this data remains locally in your browser. When you create an account, we securely store this data, along with your saved readings, calendars, and compatibility reports, on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve the NinePaths platform. Specifically, your birth date and name are used to calculate your numerological core numbers. Your occupational data is used to generate tailored career insights. We also use your email address to send necessary account verifications and service-related notices.

3. Third-Party AI Processing

NinePaths utilizes OpenAI's API to generate dynamic, personalized numerological insights and career forecasts. When you request a reading or forecast, the relevant numerological data (such as your Life Path number or occupation) is sent securely to OpenAI. Under OpenAI’s API terms, your data is NOT used to train their models and is retained only briefly for abuse monitoring purposes.

4. Data Security and Retention

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access or disclosure. We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you choose to delete your profile or account, your personal data, saved readings, and notes will be permanently removed from our active databases.

5. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data. You can manage and delete your profile directly from your Dashboard. If you require further assistance regarding your data rights, please contact our support team.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage and essential cookies to maintain your session, keep you logged in, and remember your preferences (such as your chosen calculation engine or occupation in guest mode). You can clear your browser data at any time, but doing so may log you out and clear unsaved guest data.
