Methodology

Interpretive Guide

The definitive methodology for parsing your numerological data, cycles, and deep analysis. Use this reference to understand how to read your chart.

1. The Core Numbers

The four pillars of your chart. When generating a reading, you can toggle between the Pythagorean system (the modern standard based on a 1-9 alphabet) and the Chaldean system (the ancient, vibration-based Babylonian method).

Life Path

Calculated from your birth date. This represents your core identity, natural strengths, and the overarching "mission" or trajectory you are meant to walk in this lifetime.

Expression (Destiny)

Calculated from your full birth name. It dictates how you interact with the world, your natural talents, and the tools you have to achieve your Life Path.

Soul Urge (Heart's Desire)

Derived from the vowels in your name. This is your hidden motivation, inner craving, and what truly fulfills you behind closed doors.

Personality

Derived from the consonants. The "outer shell" or first impression you make on others before they get to know your true essence.

2. Master Numbers & Karmic Debts

Specialized numerological frequencies that override standard single-digit reductions. These hold immense power but also require great responsibility and awareness.

Master Numbers (11, 22, 33)

If a calculation results in 11, 22, or 33, it is not reduced to 2, 4, or 6. These are "Master Numbers." They indicate a higher spiritual calling, intense intuition (11), master building capabilities (22), or profound teaching energy (33). They often come with increased nervous tension and high expectations.

Karmic Debt Numbers (13, 14, 16, 19)

If a core number is derived from 13, 14, 16, or 19, it indicates a "Karmic Debt"—a specific lesson carried over from a past life. It is not a punishment, but an area of life requiring extra discipline and awareness to master (e.g., 13 requires focus and hard work, 14 requires moderation).

3. Deep Analysis

Found in the Deep Dive tab. These advanced calculations break your life down into chapters and uncover hidden karmic debt.

The Four Pinnacles

Your life is divided into four long-term chapters (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter). Each Pinnacle dictates the environment and external circumstances you will face during those years.

The Four Challenges

The direct internal obstacles or weaknesses you must overcome during each corresponding Pinnacle phase to reach your potential.

The Maturity Number

A profound secondary Life Path that kicks in during mid-life (usually between 35 and 45), revealing your ultimate goal in your later years.

4. Compatibility Mechanics

How NinePaths analyzes the energetic resonance between two individuals in the Compatibility tool.

Life Path Comparison

The tool compares the Life Path numbers of both individuals to determine their baseline harmony. It categorizes the relationship into four tiers: Natural Match (highly harmonious), Compatible (good flow), Neutral (workable but requires effort), or Challenging (frequent friction requiring deep understanding).

Core Number Synergy

Beyond just the Life Path, true compatibility looks at how your Expression, Soul Urge, and Personality numbers interact with your partner's numbers. Opposites can attract in Personality, while aligned Soul Urges indicate shared deep values.

5. Forecasting & Timing

Found in your Dashboard, these timing metrics dictate the "weather" of your current reality.

Biorhythm Energy Graph

A visual projection of your next 30 days. High peaks (1, 3, 5, 8) indicate fast-moving days for action and initiation. Low valleys (2, 4, 7) indicate days requiring rest, patience, and planning.

Daily Pulse & Career Tones

Your daily numerological alignment. Favorable Flow (green) means lower friction for big moves. Challenging (red) means friction—exercise caution. You can also input your exact occupation to get an AI-tailored career forecast based on the day's energy.
